June 17, 2022 – The Thailand COVID-19 Situation Management Center (CCSA) has approved to cancel the Thailand Pass Registration Program and the US$10,000 health insurance requirement for foreign visitors, effective July 1, 2022.
From 1 July 2022, foreigners only need to present proof of vaccination or proof of negative RT-PCR or professional ATK test results within 72 hours of travel. These can be in print or digital format. There will be random screening of passengers arriving at Thailand’s international airports or land border checkpoints (22 provinces). Unvaccinated/not fully vaccinated travelers who are randomly screened and unable to show evidence of a negative pre-arrival test will be required to undergo a professional ATK test at the point of entry.
At the same time, CCSA also approved the designation of Bangkok and 76 provinces as surveillance or green zones, allowing new normal businesses and activities to resume across the country. While maintaining safety and health measures under universal precautions, the Royal Thai Government is preparing to announce a new set of guidelines for the new post-pandemic lifestyle.
