From July 1, 2022, the Thai government cancel Thailand Pass and not require 10,000USD medical insurance. However, passengers who are infected with COVID-19 after entering the country will contact their insured medical insurance company according to the Thai Infectious Disease Law. Referral to their partner medical institution for appropriate treatment, the foreign tourists can apply the medical expenses by the COVID-19 insurance and about the process and medical amount of claim which depend on each insurance company.

From November 2021, in addition to visas, global travelers entering Thailand will also need to apply for a Thailand Pass. In order to meet the requirements of the Thailand Pass, it is necessary to apply for medical insurance with an amount of more than 20,000 US dollars and covering the new crown virus (COVID-19).
Insurance quotations vary from person to person due to the length of stay at the departure location & age & whether you have chronic diseases, and you need to make a one-to-one quotation.
For example: The passenger was born in 1977, the place of departure is USA, there is no chronic disease, and there is no travel to other countries within 30 days:
7 days stay: 1750 baht
15 days stay: 2504 baht
30 days stay: 3919 baht
60 days stay: 6520 baht

Many hospitals in Thailand have cooperated with AXA Insurance Company. If they cooperate with the hospital, the hospital will directly make medical claims with the insurance company.
When you are admitted to the hospital, you can first show the insurance receipt to ask the hospital for confirmation, or check with AXA customer service staff.
If you need to use insurance claims locally, please contact AXA customer service by phone according to the policy, thank you.
If the diagnosis is positive during the nucleic acid testing hotel, the hospital will divide it into three levels of diagnosis:
Red: Hospitalization is required. Hospital insurers who cooperate with AXA Insurance Company do not need to pay for medicines in advance
Yellow: Hospitalization is required. Hospital insurers who cooperate with AXA Insurance Company do not need to pay for medicines in advance
For the above, if it is not an AXA partner hospital, the medical expenses must be paid in advance, and the medical expenses must be paid by themselves before making claims.
Green: You do not need to be hospitalized, but you need to find accommodation for self-isolation. You can choose to stay in a hospital, hotel or home, and you need to pay for your own accommodation. Physicians will provide medicines, and medical treatment must be paid for before claims are made. The number of days in self-isolation is notified by the doctor.
Other Accidental Medical Claims:
Outpatient clinic: Medical expenses must be paid in advance, and claims will be filed later.
Hospitalization: Hospital insurers who cooperate with AXA Insurance do not need to pay for medicines in advance
