Private Tour Guide Add-On Service

If you have booked a private chartered car with Taotailang and wish to add a private tour guide service,
please first contact our customer service to confirm guide availability for your desired date before placing your order.

This is an optional add-on; it is also possible to book only the chartered car without the guide.

All guides partnered with Taotailang are certified by the Thai government and hold valid guide licenses.
Prior to each tour, proper procedures and registrations will be completed according to government regulations for your safety and peace of mind.

Important Notes

• Tour guide fee: 2,800–3,500 THB per day. For out-of-town service fee of 1,500 THB per night applies when the guide is required to stay overnight outside of Bangkok.
  Example: For a 3-day trip from Bangkok to Pattaya → 2,800 × 3 days + 1,500 × 2 nights = 11,400 THB

• For groups of 10 or more than 10 people, an extra fee of 1000 THB is required. One guide can accompany up to two vehicles maximum.

• Out-of-town services must begin and end in Bangkok without interruption. It is not possible to start or end the service in other provinces or pause midway.

• Meals: Customers are not required to cover for the guide’s meals.

• Admission fees: Customers are not required to cover guide admission fees. However, for some activities such as buffet cruises or certain ticketed events, an additional fee may apply.

• For departures from Laem Chabang Cruise Port, an additional port entry fee of 2,000 THB for the guide applies. This must be selected in the add-on section and paid in full along with the guide service fee.

• Service hours: Guide services are provided for 10 hours per day. Any overtime is charged at 200 THB/hour. Guide and car services end at the same time.

• Full payment of the guide fee is required at the time of booking.

• Cancellation policy:

  • Cancellations made at least 3 days in advance will incur a 50% cancellation fee.

  • Cancellations made less than 3 days in advance will be charged 100% of the fee.

• Tipping is optional. For satisfactory service, the usual tip is around 300–500 THB per car/day for the guide and 100–300 THB per car/day for the driver.

• Complimentary travel accident insurance (up to 1,000,000 THB coverage) is included for guests who add the guide service.
  Please provide the passport name (in English) and passport number for each participant in text format (not photo) at the time of payment.
  Incorrect or missing information will result in a waiver of insurance eligibility.

• Peak season surcharge dates:

  • New Year: Dec 23 – Jan 2

  • Chinese New Year: Lunar New Year’s Eve to Day 4

  • Songkran Festival: April 13 – 16
