Trip Description

Chiang Rai, the northernmost province of Thailand, is located approximately 180 kilometers northeast of Chiang Mai. A day trip to Chiang Rai from Chiang Mai provides you to visit famous attractions such as the White Temple, Black Temple, and Blue Temple.

The White Temple, Wat Rong Khun, also known as the White Dragon Temple or Wat Rong Khun, is not actually an ancient temple. It was designed by the renowned Lanna artist Chalermchai Kositpipat and has been under construction since its establishment in 1997. The unique exterior of the White Temple, with its pure white appearance, is a magnificent large-scale sculpture and a landmark in northern Thailand.

The Blue Temple, Rong Suea Ten, also known as the Blue Temple or Wat Rong Suea Ten, is another new artistic temple. The creator is a disciple of Chalermchai Kositpipat, the artist behind the White Temple. The entire temple is predominantly blue with gold accents. Located not far from the White Temple and offering free admission.

The Black Temple, also known as Baandam Museum or Black Temple, is a museum where both the furnishings and paint are black, and the collections inside are primarily black. Built by the renowned northern Thai national artist Dr. Thawan Duchanee starting from 1984s.

• The driver is a Thai who speaks basic English. You can consult and arrange your itinerary in Chinese when booking this trip.
• If there are any issues during the tour day or if you cannot meet the driver on time, you can call our Bangkok Chinese customer service for assistance.
• Baby seats can be rented for an additional 300 Thai Baht per trip. Please supply the child’s age when placing your order.
• Prices may be adjusted during New Year/ Chinese New Year period, and any adjustments will be notified before confirming the order.
• Tipping the driver is at your discretion, with typical rates ranging from 100 to 300 Thai Baht per vehicle.
• The driver will wait at the hotel for a maximum of 20 minutes
• Additional or changes to the itinerary on the day of the trip are not possible. Overtime charges are 300 Thai Baht per hour. Please adjust according to the actual situation on the day for the driver.

Cancellation Policy

• For cancellation up to 24 hours before the pick-up time, 10% handling fee will be charged.
• After the time cancelled, 100% handling fee will be charged.
